Great pub, especially the atmosphere. Has a more of a modern vibe than usual pubs. The staff are friendly and the service is good. Would recommend the Fish & Chips, solid portion for a decent price.
I’ve been here a couple of times with a friend who lives nearby and this time we popped in for dinner and a drink. It was a Thursday night and not as crowded as I imagined it would be, especially this close to Christmas. Inside they have a cosy fire but we settled for two seats elsewhere as the tables by it were hot property! The menu feels pretty typical of standard pub fare. I went for the bangers and mash which was decent but would have been better with a portion of veg. My friend went for the turkey dinner special which was pretty hefty and looked great. Staff weren’t necessarily friendly or welcoming, and they brusquely shook off a request for a drink my friend requested - something called a Snowball. I imagine in summer it’s a lovely buzzy place to hang out as their garden seems spacious.
Nice atmosphere with great outside area. Ideal for a 🍺 or few of them 😅 for their great selection. A great and a must try to the delicious food menu that the pub offers - especially to the most delicious steak I have tried lately! Thank you guys for this amazing experience, and I look forward tp 🐝 back Cheers 🍻
Went here prior to the Buffalo Bills vs Jacksonville game. It was packed but they served beer super slow. There were several things they could do to make things more efficient. But they probably are not used to having beer drinking crowds like Bills fans.
A pub full of ambiance with 2 bars with a large paved outdoor garden. Friendy bar staff under new ownership for over a year. Loved the guest beer but disappointed with the chicken wings which were greasy and burnt. Complained to the waitress who suggested another alternative so took the fish and chips. Enjoyed the fish and unusually prepared mushy peas both of which I enjoyed. The hand made chips were bit oily. A place for watching sports with a wide selection of ales. There is no disabled toilet as far as I am aware. Parking facilities are nearby. A unique pub that has improved over the years since 2001, a must visit for any Tottonian.
