Only had chips buy they were lovely. Good range of drinks, good location. Went om a thursday so it was packed but good atmosphere. Just couldn't hear over years noise.
Came here for a Sunday lunch catch up with friends. The service was very warm and friendly but the food was a bit of a let down. While the veg was cooked well, the meat (I had beef) was very tough and the Yorkshire was a bit dry. The pigs in blankets were awfully salty too so I could barely eat them. The atmosphere was also somewhat ruined by a child playing Christmas songs on the piano terribly.
Excellent Sunday roast. We tried the chicken, beef and vegetarian (a beetroot wellington) roasts and they were all fantastic, with huge amounts of trimmings. The waitress / kitchen very kindly supplied extra gravy on request! Too full for dessert but would love to try it another time. Sadly, no hot drinks so you’ll have to go elsewhere for those! It was extremely quiet when we arrived, but people eventually arrived. Not at all crowded, just a quiet, relaxed place for a Sunday lunch. Service terrific. Highly recommend.
Great burger and scotch egg. Traveled 20 minutes on the tube just for the cider and it was worth it. You can do small tastings of 3 for ale and cider.
Nice place with a good list of beer and well located (very close to Liverpool Street station). A couple of dart boards down the back are very entertaining too. Prices are a little punchy though (£8 a pint for some beers). Genuinely friendly bar staff
