Lovely pub lived in Askam as a kid as soon as I went in it brought back lots ( no pun intended) of great memories from 40 odd years ago. Landlord and punters were great LONG LIVE THE LONDON TAVERN
Excellent little pub. Decent beer, pool room, bar and a quiet lounge area. Well worth a visit. Staff are very friendly.
Myself and a few biker friends stumbled across this place on a biking holiday, what a treasure of a pub set in Askam, the hosts, Peter and Sally made us feel very welcome, a great proper pub in a lovely town and so close to miles of sandy beaches, we will be back 👍
What a fabulous and friendly boozer The London House in Askam in Furness is a fabulous pub. It is a back street pub that only serves drink. It is only open 3 days a week (Friday to Sunday) and is frequented by locals. We were made to feel welcome by the locals the moment we walked in. The variety of drink was good - espcially Madri lager (from Spain) at £3.50 a pint ;-) We were staying in an Air B&B in the village and the other pub in the village (The Railway Inn) closed a few weeks ago and so being the only pub in this large village now, we felt the need to return and we just liked the pub more and more. If you are staying in the area and if you like a good drink and banter (and it is family friendly) please do look by.
Great real pub, good choice of beers, friendly landlord..
