It's a pub up a country lane. Nothing fancy inside but a nice little pub! We came, had a few drinks and few games of pool. Pool table 50p a pop, so nice and cheep. Some good tunes playing on the juke box. All good!
We visited llanfair arms after a 18k hike. A lovely pub to visit. We felt at home and made welcome by the staff and regulars. The price of a pint was good. We spent a few hrs relaxing well worth a visit darts and pool table cold beer and the sports on TV what more do you need.
This is a review from a tourist's point of view. Llanfairfechan currently (Oct '22) has 3 pubs a short stroll from each other, on narrow streets with limited parking, a 15 minute walk uphill from the promenade. As a visitor, I was hoping for some pub grub, a tasty pint of real ale (preferably local) and a bit of character. A friendly welcome was to be had in all 3 pubs and they must be doing something right for the locals, to survive in these difficult times. A common factor was the cheap price for a pint. The Llanfair Arms has been tastily refurbished (though the ladies toilet still to be completed), but is lacking in personality. No food to be had and the hand-pumped ale wasn't available on our visit on a wet Friday afternoon. Settled for a pint of Theakston keg bitter and a pint of Theakston Dark Smooth (£7.00 for the two). A fair enough bar, but not enough to entice me back up the hill.
Lovely village pub, back open with lovely new owners and a fresh lick of paint. Good local beers and pool and darts to keep you entertained. Little beer garden by the river is also very special
Lovely little pub recently refurbished and reopened. Just a little bit of finishing off to be done in the toilet areas, but pleasantly decorated throughout. They have a traditional bar room and snug, as well as a separate pool table area. Music played in the bar. We visited on a Tuesday evening so it was fairly quiet. Appears to be family owned, so wish them luck, Also a small outside seating area next to the stream adjacent to the pub. Prices reasonable and a decent amount of draught beers.
