Absolutely loved it here great little pub very cosy. We also had Chinese here and its the best Chinese food I have ever tasted WOW! We really enjoyed our evening everyone was an absolute pleasure thank you.
Very nice stay in one of the cottages. The breakfast is very nice. Chinese menu available Tuesday to Saturday is absolutely amazing. The absolute best meal I have ever eaten out, I had Chinese food every time it was available in my stay, even stuff I don't normally like was so nicely prepared and cooked that I liked it. Also worth mentioning that as each meal is individually cooked in a wok there was a wide choice available that is gluten and dairy free.
A decent pub but received a £60 parking fine a few weeks later despite being a patron. Apparently there are signs in the establishment and around the car park itself, which clearly didn’t serve much use given it was pitch black at the time and I have no recollection of any inside. Very disappointing. I will be appealing this.
Lovely people and great food, really enjoyed my stay here. It had been a long walk from Hayfield to Hathersage and the welcome was extraordinarliy nice. After some great rest, the breakfast was also brilliant. Definitely would recommend
Tepid & tasteless, & I’m not just talking about the food. Very cold ~ the staff, the atmosphere & the temperature. The food was warm but unseasoned. Beer selection was good. We much preferred the Scotsman’s Pack, just a few mins down the road. Ben.
