The service and owner were very good, what got me was the room was lovely and warm upon entering, however this was short-lived, because when the heating went off later that evening you couldn't help feeling the blistering cold wind blowing through the window frames, and it's not just a little bit, coupled with the fact that the duvets supplied were not able to cover my feet (I'm only 6ft), and were literally 3" thick, needless to say I didn't sleep well due to the cold, and believe me I've been warmer in a drivers cab of a challenger tank in the throws of a German winter, not somewhere were I'll be going back anytime soon. Also the description says that they do food, they don't š¤¦š¼.
Itās a āproperā pub with friendly manager and staff. Donāt expect high tech or brand new furnishings, itās well-worn but authentic and genuine. I will definitely stay again when working in this area. I also had 2 large bacon baps made the night before for me as I had to leave very early in the morning. Good, well priced food and menu there! It is dog-friendly too.
A good old-fashioned pub, sadly missing in many towns today. Superbly kept beer.
A quiet local in the centre of Long Sutton. There is a dedicated pool room with its own bar, a nice beer garden at the rear. Found it a friendly place.
Stayed there for 2 nights. Good room with comfy bed. Room was a bit hot but there was a fan provided so wasnt too bad. Friendly and welcoming staff.
