Lovely little pub with good beer...we come to blackpool every other weekend and stopped going in here..unless u are a local u will not get to sing..Sat for 3 hours watched one regular go up 4 times while I didn't get called once...makes u feel there keepi g u there drinking but have no Intension of getting u up to sing....I'm sorry but unless ur a local this pub is not for u..they have no interest in visitors
So went to the loo which I can't say are the best but as I was coming out of the cubicle there's a woman with her dress up round her waist knickers round her ankles peeing on the floor. Just stood there peeing! Then looked at me and said "what?" Filthy cow. I stepped over the pool of pee and a younger woman came through the door. Told her she might want to avoid but she said"that's me mam". Really enjoyed the atmosphere in this pub and it's not the landlady's fault but come on if this is the sort of people it's attracting I won't be going in again. Absolutely hanging.
Traditional boozer, fairly unspoilt and not many left like this. Karaoke on a Wednesday afternoon ! A bit rough and ready but worth a look.
Always a good place to visit, we tend to go in the afternoon when there's karaoke on. There's never a shortage of singers. It's well run, bar service is quick and the tables are cleared quickly of empty glasses, although when it's very busy - don't be surprised to hear an announcement to return glasses to the bar when going up for more drinks. Great atmosphere, there are local regulars and often groups of tourists who go in from the nearby hotels on their Monday to Friday coach trip holidays. Not the cheapest place for drinks and if that's what people are looking for - there's a much cheaper bar next door. But, it's a sports bar with no atmosphere and no entertainment. It's a small bar, seating is a little awkward for everyone to see the singers and there's not a great deal of room to move inside.
Really friendly place. Get there early if you want a seat. When I say early I mean early before 2pm! The owner and bar staff really make you feel welcome and your other fellow drinkers are a good crowd too. The real main event here is the Karaoke this starts at about 1pm and runs until 10pm. Fantastic fun! Drinks here are reasonably priced £3.80 for a pint of Heineken.
