Menu is inclusive and offers good dishes at a fair price. Venue from a distance is lovely and inviting. Start looking a little closer and you will see cobwebs, dust, dried spills and other marks pertaining to a less than thorough cleaning regime. Staff are a mixed bag. They can be polite, but will actively avoid you by looking at the floor when moving through the restaurant and ignoring/forgetting requests. We waited 30 minutes for 2 drinks and a further 35 minutes for 2 main dishes. No apology was given for the wait, no thanks was given following payment and manners were lacking throughout our whole visit. Contacted the venue and the parent company twice following our visit to highlight these issues and have been ignored.

Insanely overpriced for what it is. The food is an inch above Wetherspoons. Pizzas floppy, doughy, undercooked. Steaks over-done. Tables sticky, beer £6 a pint. Soft drinks not far off. Save your money and go to the Woodman's Stroke just down the road for a real pub.

Massively disappointed; this pub has gone down hill. I have visited in the past and have always been more than happy with the food and service. However, last weekend myself and my friends booked a table and our food came out freezing cold. I had mussels and even at the very bottom of the skillet the sauce was cold, I tried one and sent it back. Along with my friends who also sent their cold food back. More food was brought out, which was great. The server was great about it. Fast forward to around 4am the next morning, I was violently sick. I was so poorly all morning and the next day. My friend was also up all night with a really bad stomach. The food was clearly not cooked properly/reheated. I tried to reach out to the pub and have been ignored. Avoid.

Been a couple of times before and was lovely unfortunately it has changed significantly since then to our recent visit. We ordered the fish pie and Apple crumble the fish pie was nice extremely hot lots of sauce but not much fish the accompanying veg was minimal and cold. The crumble arrived with burnt topping you could smell it was burnt and it tasted burnt we sent it back we received another that was still burnt with the advice that it was dark sugar and dark flour we knew it was burnt but gave the waitress the benefit of doubt it tasted burnt even with the custard we left most of it. The food is extremely expensive and very little choice unless you are a raging carnivore. The waitress was lovely and very friendly and accommodating the male waiter appeared distracted and when asked for sauce and water he forgot the water. The atmosphere is relaxing the lighting is good you don’t feel rushed but the tables are very close and if you have a person with a loud voice sitting close by then it’s not relaxing unfortunately due to the prices and quod the food we won’t be returning we have booked elsewhere for our Christmas reunion

Had a wonderful meal there. The pub itself is clean and the restaurant section has an interesting, quiet and romantic atmosphere. The food is very tasty, with excellent and polite waiter service. Prices of the food are very reasonable although the drink prices are a little on the pricey side. All in all I will definitely be going there again.
