All our food is locally sourced a prepared fresh to order. The great fresh food is also cooked by local people so you know you’ll be getting good honest home cooked food with no messing around. Hopefully our menu has something for everyone but if there is nothing you fancy please let us know.
We have some fantastic locally bought Cask Ales and amazing wines to choose from, something for every taste and every dish we create, our staff can advise you on your choice. Our premium spirit range is second to none, we have English vodkas, fancy gins and a huge selection of fine malts.

Great local pub, busy with a good atmosphere and friendly staff. The beer garden is fantastic too, good size with plenty seating in the numerous pods 👍
Absolutely wonderful find near to the flat I was staying in. From the moment my husband and I walked into the Royal Oak, we were treated so warmly and the great service continued throughout our visit. We had food and drinks and both were really good. The food was high standard pub grub, just what's needed on a dark, wet night. There was plenty of it too! Every customer who walked in was greeted in the same kind, friendly manner as we were. Actually the barman knew many of the regulars by name and took time to speak with them. The pub unexpectedly had to close, as there were only my husband and I and another couple of patrons, so not enough people in to justify it staying open. We were so happy with the Royal Oak, that we chose to return the following evening. If we're ever in Wigan again we will definitely head to this pub - good food, good drinks selection, a proper welcome and a relaxed atmosphere; we couldn't want for anything more.
Garlic bread with cheese and kids meal spot on , salt and pepper sharing platter great value for 30 quid but far too salty especially the chips, service great 👍
Had afternoon tea. We didn't enjoy the cheesecake and the scones are dry but otherwise it was good. Definitely worth the price. Clean toilets and nice atmosphere. Their breakfast is amazing though.
We had afternoon Tea and it was amazing. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly. The only thing that we didn't like was that you only received one drink with no refills.
