Lovely area food was OK rooms need updating and decor not good peeling paint. Pub downstairs shut on Xmas eve at 5pm which we were not informed of when we booked so was in are rooms from 5pm. Owners were lovely and gave there apology for the mix up. We made our own fun playing board games that we took with us would have been nice to access to the bar. Would not go back.
As usual, a great place for a “pit stop” for refreshments. This time, it was only for a couple of beers, no food, but the service was very good and very friendly. Enjoyed the Winter Spell and Bread and Butter beers!
Had our first meal yesterday evening. Beautiful dining areas. The food was absolutely delicious, I had the Katsu curry and my husband had the cheese pie. The staff so friendly. And to make it even better, a singer called Louise Wild was just fantastic. Would highly recommend coming back here, great night
We stayed in the derby arms a few weeks ago, and I must say, I was very impressed. The room was beautiful, the staff were attentive and the food was superb, I highly recommend the watercress omelette for breakfast. After returning to London, I felt very refreshed, and would honestly and wholeheartedly recommend this hotel, and its restaurant.
Great meal, just need to ring to table all of the order (bread missing from mussels), was asked if I wanted my beef pink but came over done (why ask)? Over all the mussels were tasty & plentiful, the crab pate was enjoyed by my partner, the two roast dinners were huge & well received (although no apple sauce on premises to go with roast pork)! Roast dinners a little above what we would normally pay, and another £6 for cauliflower cheese was a bit steep! But over all we enjoyed & will be back. Thank you
