What an excellent Christmas meal with family & friends. The place felt very festive with some of the staff dressed up for Christmas too. Food was really tasty, service very timely & staff were very friendly. It’s got a big play area for the children as well which they really enjoyed.
I love burgers, I'm known for it. Occasionally I'm asked, 'is there anything that could improve your burger experience?' My answer is 'yes, a sausage on top, but who's going to do that?' Well guess what? Greene King have only gone and done it! It's called The Home Run and it's excellent. Great taste, well cooked, served hot and decent value which is getting harder to find right now. They accept blue light cards and we found the Phantom Winger to be clean with friendly staff and easy parking. Top-tip. If like us you are visiting on a weekend and aren't into over-hyped, sweaty, 7 yr olds running up & down the place then visit early. We were all done by 2pm and the Wacky Warehouse escapees were just beginning to emerge, bless them. Great visit overall, looking forward to going back.
Came for food last night with some friends, was very pleased. Declan who served us was more than happy to help any queries we had, very polite and helpful! I decided to go for “the gravy one” which was absolutely amazing but could not finish it all!! The salt and pepper fries are fabulous too. Will be returning.
Felt like walking back in time . Very dated, worn, no vibes at all. Food was probably the worst breakfast I've been served . No wow factor, let's make that no factor. Presentation gives it the 2 stars. Only positive were the staff who managed to be friendly and muster a smile , 'everything okay ' every now and again. Despite being no other diners, toilet was disgusting - smelled like it had not been cleaned in months . Whilst struggling for more positives to write I'll say loads of car parking spaces !
We use to eat here when we lived in Preston, and always had a great meal and was always a nice atmosphere. Although I now live in North Yorkshire , in March 2022 we had a day trip to Cleveleys and called at the Phantom Winger on the way home back to North Yorkshire. Nice to know the food was still as good as when we lived there.
