Both the service and food was incredible on every level.
Went for a couple pints with my family and dog. Cosy and warm pub on a rainy night we attended. It's very dog friendly and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend and will try the food next time.
Not been here for 2 years but a wonderful experience. Welcomed on arrival and taken to our pre booked table. Given menus with explanation of soup and pie of the day. Drinks order taken. Food arrived in good time despite being very busy and excellent meals. Further drinks ordered as soon as our empty glasses spotted. Asked for dessert menu. This was the test. 2 years ago our party of 5 waited 30 minutes without success to give a dessert and coffee order. We paid and left disappointed. No such issues here. Double chocolate brownie ordered and delicious. Asked for bill and paid with a most deserved tip. Food excellent and very attentive staff. Nearly forgot the important bit. A choice of 3 cask ales, the Youngs bitter was very good. A perfect occasion we hope to experience again very soon.
Food here and service is second to none..absolutely amazing..our favourite place ..definitely a place to try if you haven't been here before ...you won't be disappointed thats for sure 👍..
Aug 2023 up date -Something has changed here big style ! Either the chef has gone or they've got greedy -Booked for today to treat my mother to lunch -whoah-the menu has changed to a standard pub type menu -but with ott prices ! I'm sorry but a mince steak and onion pie with chips and mushy peas isnt £17.95 anywhere except here ! Grilled chicken breast with chips tomatoes mushrooms and onion rings -£16.95 -another £3.5₩ for a sauce -really ?? Staff still ok but half empty on a Sunday lunch - no surprise there ! 12 months ago ..... Superb in all areas -from the ambience to the staff -and then food that is on another level again ! No rush - no fuss -piping hot delicious food and very busy too ! Realy can't express how good it is here -go try it yourself ! Highly recommended !! Now I wouldn't recommend-expensive but nothing special anymore !!!
