The pub's distinctive stone slate roofs and its dressed stone and quoins on the exterior fit perfectly with this area where beautiful architecture and history flourish together.
Less than 15 minutes walk away lies the Grade II listed Holy Trinity Church consecrated in 1831 and constructed by renowned religious architect Francis Octavius Bedford. With central Manchester and Liverpool both within 40 minutes by car and Arnside and Silverdale an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) less than an hour away the Blundell Arms is ideally located for exploring the region's most important sights.Whatever your reason for visiting this attractive area the Blundell Arms is a wonderful historic setting for savouring delicious traditional pub food including relaxing Sunday lunches and seasonal specials.
Went here for the first time i have to say i loved it.Food was excellent atmosphere great and the place lovely and clean. The service was brilliant we where looked after very well by a gentlemen named Lewis and a lovely lady named Nat.Really enjoyed our visit and will deffo be returning.I would highly reccomend a visit.Great value for money.
Lovely building and interior. Dog friendly with blankets and biscuits. Starters of garlic mushrooms, calamari and Korean strips were amazing. The mains of steak pie and mixed grill were underwhelming. The pastry top was fine, but the walls of the pie were rock hard. Good job it was a big pie with lots of filling. The gammon on the Mixed grill was dry and expensive for what it was. Sticky toffee pudding was lovely, just needed more sauce. Ordered an white americano but got a latte instead. Was quite cold sat near the door so will ask for a different area next time but they had blankets for the outside are, so I got a couple of those :) Service was great and attentive.
Lovely clean restaurant, love the cottage effect... Staff are welcoming + friendly. Food I have given a 3 star I had a mixed grill presentation was great but the meat was quite dry + tasteless... 😩 Garlic + mushroom sauce was abit to creamy for me + needed more garlic in. Usually I'd have peppercorn sauce but thought I'd try something different but wish I got peppercorn sauce to go with the mixed grill..
Just a pit stop. We decided to have lunch. It was wonderful. I wish l had the giant pie but unfortunately l couldn't eat it all to myself. It looked lovely. The waitresses were wonderful, so welcoming.
We ordered Sunday roast and each got a trio of turkey, beef and pork. It was a good portion and the flavour was amazing. It was a nice atmosphere! There is free parking behind the building. The coffee came with a home baked chocolate cookie which was very nice.

Just off from one of Boltons main roads sits the Beehive. A former hotel with an interesting past which is now a very vibrant pub restaurant and Wacky Warehouse with great character, friendly team and amazing food.
