Visited the restaurant. We waited 20 mins to be served. Ordered 2x hot chocolate and soup. Soups came about 10 mins later, good taste, job well done. Finished our soups. At about 40 mins after arriving still no sign of our drinks. As we were about to leave and pay, we were brought the rest of our order. However, it was clear they had run ouf of hot chocolate - we were instead served hot milk with some of the decoration coco powder mixed in for a hint of brown colour. I'd rather have staff tell me something is not available and cancel my order than serve me something I did not request and still make me pay for it. Wont be coming back.
Arrived expecting a festive menu to available, it wasn't. Food off the regular menu was nice. Seen you had a festive menu on Facebook, but nowhere that I seen said you had to pre book it and tell staff prior to visiting that you would like to order from festive menu. It said call or book online, and we booked online but were not given a choice of menu.
Friendly and efficient service from the young staff, good location and decent food. We were there with our 9 month old granddaughter who was well looked after. Seating outside overlooking the marina but a bit too chilly in November
Been to the restaurant twice, solely for the location. Left utterly disappointed both times. Food was absolutely repulsive. Ordered the meatball marinara sub. What i got looked like something the dog threw up, absolutely gross. Dried out old bread with grey meatballs that were cut in half in a failed attempt to make it fill the sandwich, gritty weird textured sauce. My sweet potato fries were soggy, limp and disgusting. I'd thought to give the place another chance the second time I went in, hoping for a better experience. I wont make a third mistake and choose to vote with my feet. You got my money twice, never again. Your chef should be embarrassed.
Warm, cosy and really tasty food. Lovely decor. Great for a coffee meet up or family sit down meal. The resturant is right on the canal so you can watch the boats and paddlers go by. Truly a lovely place. Dog friendly and great wheelchair access. There is outdoor space as well.
