About us

The Lamb Inn is a public house that has an excellent value bed only above conveniently located in the historic market town of Ringwood. Rooms are bright and airy, kept to a high standard of cleanliness and offer excellent value. Occasionally we have entertainment on Saturday evenings, but this finishes 11.30 pm to ensure noise does not disturb guests above the pub. There is a small car park at rear of pubic house which can be used for cars( plenty of road parking surrounding for large vans), but this is first come first served. There is free road side parking all around.

Unfortunately we are unable to accept animals in rooms.

Ringwood is on the edge of the beautiful New Forest National Park with its many walks, woods and glades. Ringwood is situated in the Avon Valley and is renowned for its excellent River Avon fishing and surrounding lakes. The sandy beaches of Bournemouth are 15 minutes drive away. Fordingbridge, Ferndown, Verwood, Southampton, Salisbury, Stonehenge and Winchester are all within easy driving distance.

Sporting facilities nearby include horse-riding, swimming, golf courses, cycle tracks, sailing, water-skiing, windsurfing and fishing on the River Avon & lakes around Ringwood. The river is also a haven for wildlife.

There are many sight-seeing features in the area including the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Salisbury Cathedral, Hurst Castle, Exbury Gardens, the Liberty & Raptor & Reptile Centre and Moors Valley Country Park not forgetting the New Forest Park — the latter three are on our doorstep.

We were scammed by this place. When we arrived there was no one there. We stood on the street in a strange town and thankfully a kind man picked us up and found us a place to stay. We have been unable to contact the owners. They promptly took our money and we haven’t heard a thing from them. If there was a way to give a zero I would, 1 is far too generous for jerks like this.

We booked in Australia not knowing the area. I would say the room was rustic and clean we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts were gracious and generous welcoming and we felt very comfortable. We thoughly enjoyed our stay at the Lambs Inn and would recommend for your next stay. Thankyou for all the laughs 😃

We randomly googled "steak restaurant Ringwood" and this popped up. It's an old school pub. We found the service to be natural, relaxed, genuine and really very welcoming. We all had steak dinners and all 4 were very good. Cooked exactly as requested. With drinks etc we spent what I think is a very reasonable £40 per head for what we had. If you're looking for high-end luxury surroundings, this isn't it, but if you like honest, clean, welcoming and unpretentious then that's what we found here.

Went for food. Lovely steaks. Fantastic service. Very welcoming and a great waitress who was smiley and lovely. The environment and decor lacks ambiance. Unfortunately the English mustard ordered was in fact American mustard. Honest mistakes for a new business.

Last minute stop off after deciding to stay over rather than drive 4hrs home to Yorkshire. Really glad we did. Booked a room, basic but perfectly OK, had a meal in the bar....homemade burger...really nice. We decided to stay for a few drinks. Our host and his wife really made us feel welcome and we spent the evening chatting until the early hours!!! Restful sleep, coffee and toast and then home. All in all fab weekend.
