Great wee pub, food is good also . Staff are excellent, well worth a visit if you're in Carnoustie .
Handy place to stay. Rooms were basic but really clean and comfortable. Surprisingly quiet despite being over a pub. Good price too. Would definitely stay again.
Amazing traditional pub roast dinner. Highly recommend for food and very dog friendly. Warm welcome and great service from the team.
Always enjoy a drink in here. Centre of Carnoustie so it’s good for largely wherever you are in the town. Friendly bar staff and good variety of different beers and lagers. They also have an outside seating area around the back for when the weather is nicer. They serve food although it’s been a while since I had it. From memory I had steak pie in the past and it was very good. Saturday night seems to be when the young team come out - they’re all friendly enough but it does make you feel a bit old ha! Atmosphere is generally pretty good. During the day there’s some light background music and sports etc on the tv. Later in the evening the music is turned up a bit.
We had booked here for refreshments after a funeral. It was arranged for a server to be available. However, we arrived 30-40 minutes early. The after waiting 10-15 minutes we approached the bar and asked for a member of staff to come through and take and order. Unfortunately the response was bluntly no. Our server hadn't arrived yet. The manageress would not do. At this time there was only 6 people in the main bar. Myself and my sister had to take the order and start carrying drinks into the dining area. I never expected to have serve drinks at my father's funeral. On the other hand the chef. Did an excellent job. More food was prepared than we expected soup sandwiches sausagerolls, pizza. Quiches. Cake biscuits. The venue was nice. But 1 member of staff has left me and my guest was a poor impression.
