Visited here today for fish n chips lunch. Lovely welcome on arrival from lady behind the bar. Pleasant spacious area to eat. Well cooked chips and fresh cod. Perfect. Thank you. If i ever visit Whitstable again i will be sure to come back for your super customer service.
Food, service & atmosphere was better than an irish, english & italian wedding all in one place… Seafood platter was absolutely delicious. Best pub in whitstable!
Always a good night when Red playing there great singer. The new decor is nice, food was good, I love crumble but did have to send first one back as underdone but they soon put it right .
The Quayside bar & kitchen is a cut above the usual pub food found along Weymouth quayside. You won’t find fried fish here. Instead you’ll find some thoughtful recipes designed to bring out the exquisite qualities of fresh sea food. I’ll state straight away I’m not a great sea food fan. However there is some fish I like, and it should be noted that this restaurant does have choices for those like me, or indeed for those not liking any sea food. I had salmon pasta and very nice it was too. Another person in my party loves sea food and he absolutely loved his dish. All in all we were very satisfied. There was a minor hiccup in that one dish was meant to come with diced fried potato and not fries, but they’d run out of the former. That was a shame because the person who ordered it specifically wanted to take a break from fries/chips. As I say, this was a minor hiccup. The service was fantastic. The waiter was very helpful. Also he skilfully steered himself around the cringeworthy jokes from an elderly member of our group. He gave 100% and for that I am most appreciative. On leaving the restaurant I recommend that you take in the nice surroundings of the restaurant, with a walk by the water. There are many other pubs in that area, ideal for a nightcap. Enjoy!
Excellent fish 🐟 and chips 🍟 the best and freshest I've tasted in years.. the service is good too and the latte afterwards is great too.. it was a Saturday evening and a bit too loud and boisterous for us but plenty of atmosphere if you like that kind of thing, plus some live music too.
