I didn't eat there, so this is why I haven't rated it, but it's a lovely little village pub.

I've not been here is about 12 years but it has changed so much - all for the better. The food was really good, big portion sizes, beer was crisp and clean and the staff were friendly and couldn't be more helpful.

It's a bit hit and miss. Sometimes I've been here and it's been perfect. Most recently the locals at the bar were more important and wouldn't even leave space to get past to the toilet. You can feel like an inconvenience.

Food and drink overpriced. Food is typical bland pub churn rubbish, no justification for the price. Exceptionally rude staff and landlady in particular, not just a one off as friends have all said the same, on seperate occasions. Unfortunately because they have the monopoly of the village, people continue to use it. Avoid, and save your money for people who deserve it.

We were very impressed by our recent visit to The Woolpack. Although we only had a couple of drinks, we did see some of the food being brought out and it looked very appetising. Therefore, we planned to come back another time (hopefully soon) to try it. The pub inside looked good enough, but we decided to sit in the beer garden as it was a sunny afternoon. The garden was very pleasant, it was well looked after with plenty of good quality seating and tables, a really good variety of flowers and plants and it had a good relaxing atmosphere. Definitely recommended.
