The Kings Arms Pub is situated in the historic village of Upper Upnor, the home of Upnor Castle, which is 100 yards down the cobbled street away.
We specialise in Real Ales and regularly change the local beers on tap. We also offer various ciders and Belgium Bottled beers, winning various awards over the years for range and quality that we offer. Best restaurant food in ages. Having recently relocated my boat to medway yc, I'm now getting used to what is around the area. The little village this pub is in, is so quaint, it's like going back in time. Came here with my mother for dinner. What a wonderful experience. Lovely staff, atmosphere and excellent fresh ingredients and good portions make the prices fair. Compliments go to the chef and Olivia our server. Had a lovely ale too, the wonky donkey.
Great menu tasty meals good service, lovely surroundings goid prices, what more could you ask for a lunchtime meal, would definitely recommend
The food in this pub is absolutely out of this world. I had a prawn & crayfish jacket potato, and it was hands down the best I’ve ever had! The potato was cooked to absolute perfection & the prawn & crayfish tasted like they had just come out of the sea, the freshness was sublime. To top it off, it came with a beautiful salad and HOMEMADE coleslaw that was also out of this world. I highly recommend this place as the service as well as the food was top notch! Staff are friendly and very, very helpful. I had an all round A* experience here. Thanks so much.
Very good lunch I had. Exceeded my expectations. I had the hake with a breadcrumbs topping seasoned with walnuts and dill seating in a white wine sauce. The fish was cooked to perfection. The presentation was beautiful . I wish I can upload the photo.
Friendly helpful staff. It has a lot of potential. The bar is very charming. The restaurant section has character and a good layout. The food was disappointing. The duck was over cooked, but the vegetables were plentiful. Extra points for the heritage carrots. The decor is very worn. I could see this would be a lovely place in summer to sit outside. Dog friendly.
