The Royal Function Room and Billibong club at the bottom of Star Hill Rochester have a very pleasant set up. There is a very well stocked bar and a large function room with room for over 100 seated customers and more for a non seated event. The toilets and the whole centre is immaculately clean. The staff are welcoming, polite abd friendly. The connected and smaller Billibong club is also available for function hire. It has a separate bar, entrance and toilet facilities. The Billibong Club previously operated as a Comedy Club but is currently not operating in this form due to not having an effective club manager or organiser. Both locations are ideal for either a large or smaller social or cultural gathering.

Amazing venue, even better bands. Billy Childish and co sounded as authentic as ever. The whole ambiance of the place wreaks with nostalgia and all the elegance of rock and roll days gone. The Medway delta will forever be a haven for punk.

A lovely place where had our friends 50th party. Large space reasonably priced drinks. The only downside is very cold inside but as an old building I would expect this

No Frills Theatre Company hired the Royal Theatre Function Rooms last week for a theatre production. The venue was ideal. Mary Barnes, the venue manager was very accommodating, helpful and friendly.Nothing was too much trouble for her. A professionally well run space we will definitely use again, if allowed

Went to an event put on by Medway African and Caribbean Association (MACA) The Showman and the Chartist on Sunday. I had driven by the Functions Room but never knew what a hidden gem it was. It took me back to the olden days and I could just imagine how it must have looked in its heydays. Lovely intimate venue with lovely period features. Staff were very nice too. Going to look up on the history of the Functions Room.
