About us

An attractive country pub on the edge of a pretty green in the village of Keston, on the Kent/London border.

It’s a lively pub, with a wide range of customers, and a friendly buzz to the atmosphere. We are committed to making the service, entertainment, food and drink here as good as possible, with a customer-focused ethos that shines through in everything we do.

On the bar you’ll find a good choice of well-kept ales, lagers and ciders, wines from around the world along with pretty much anything else you could wish for. The pub was recently named Bromley CAMRA’s Pub of the Year 2017, so you can be sure of a top quality pint.

The menu is extensive, and goes beyond average pub food, with dishes prepared using the best, locally sourced produce wherever possible. Whether you choose a baguette, burger, jacket potato or a main such as homemade lasagne, fish and chips, or a rump steak with all the trimmings, you can be sure of a tasty, substantial meal, cooked with care.

Decent pub with good amount of space, lots of sport on the TVs and dog friendly. Went in for a Sunday Roast which was slightly below par, overcooked veggies and not the best stuffing or yorkshires. Did provide lots of gravy to drown it in mind, so that was a bonus. Service is good but when they're busy sometimes you can get a little forgotten about. Sort of place you'd go back to and fine for a drink, but probably would think twice about wanting to take out friends there for a meal.

We had the festive lunch and often, when you have a festive meal it’s over priced and not great. Not the case here. Food was amazing. Very generous portions and so tasty. All the staff are very friendly and we even took the dog with us as this pub is very dog friendly. We’ve eaten there before at other times in the year. Food is always excellent and reasonably priced.

Never disappointed by each visit to the Greyhound. Excellent food with a variety of traditional and imaginative dishes. Very dog friendly! Friendly engaging staff. Could do with a lick of paint perhaps? But what are you looking for design? Or a brilliantly run pub?

Stopped here for a Sunday Carvery lunch. Food was fabulous and plentiful. Service was timely and friendly. Garden to rear with kids play area. Nice bar area. Green to front to walk or play on. Will return. We returned probably a year after this first review, not sure if there has been a change of hands or change of chef? Visited midweek for lunch, we ordered a few Ploughman's meals, very bland, no salad, but it does say this on the menu, but I've never had a ploughman's that didn't come with salad, Fish and chips was very oily and the egg, ham and chips was exactly that... they all tick the box as to their name titles, but it was just so so bland, and very little effort made in presentation.... so I did return, but will go elsewhere the next time, shame, nice spot, nice location. 5 star down to 3 star...
