Very original pub and not much has been changed for probably 50 years. Aquariums are really cool. Shame beer garden is a bit of a state and could some tlc

Tim Taylors beers were not bad. Pub would seem to have a problem with snails. There were snail trails on the floor and on some of the seats.

My family have been using this great Pub for over 50+ years many generations of us and where we live it definitely wouldn't be the same without it the late great lady barkeep/landlady Mavis who ran the place with her son and his girlfriend worked very hard to make the pub truly a very pleasant and enjoyable experience for so many years she very sadly passed away recently and we all will miss her very much and now her son Simon and his partner Olympia have taken His Mum's place and running the pub and very well to everyone is very proud of them both for being able to keep the pub running as great as usual even through their grief we in woodside Green are very lucky to have such a great venue and very great family still keeping the Joiners Arms one of our local greatest treasures and we really appreciate it. David,Janet and Darren Miller Will miss Mavis very much And thank Simon and Olympia very much for keeping the torch burning bright That Mavis has passed on to them We all thank you all so much XXX

Nice friendly pub, frequented by locals and visitors from afar. with lots of ornate decorations. Great entertainment with live bands and karaoke. The drinks are reasonably priced. Has the look of a country pub but is situated not far from Central Croydon. Well worth a visit.

Wow, what a pub this is! There aren’t many left like this in London, the interior and exterior are unspoilt and oh so beautiful for it. The pub is run by the longest serving landlady in London and it retains all the charm, warmth and comfort a proper pub should do. This pub has a real sense of community, never more apparent than on Sundays when it’s karaoke night. On top of that the beer is excellently kept, I had a few pints of Landlord that were in top shape and the Guinness is great too. Hopefully this pub survives in this manner for many years to come, it’s a welcome respite from the soulless, modern, ‘refurbished’ chain pubs that dominate London’s pub landscape. I just wish I lived closer.
