Unwind and relax in traditional style in our historic British inn snug at the foot of the South Downs in West Sussex. Nestled at the base of High Salvington in Worthing and just to the north of the beautiful and picturesque village of Tarring, we are a local village inn with a cosy cottage style, that you can rest in and enjoy exceptional pub fare cooked by our chef.
We like to think of ourselves as a true village inn with a few individual touches thrown in, and we constantly take inspiration from our beautiful and historic surroundings. Whether you’re looking for a spot of lunch, an evening meal, or just a pint of real ale as you’re passing through, you’ll be sure to find a warm welcome with us here at The John Selden.
Did not eat so can't rate the food, had a great evening here and staff where very attentive and quick to serve
Had the most amazing pizza on a Monday evening, on a relaxed and friendly pub. Recommend everyone tries it out!
Absolutely stunning roast pork on a Sunday, as always. This is becoming a regular thing now. Top marks.
Nice enthusiastic local pub with seating indoors and outdoors and a nice food menu with a lot to choose from. Bartenders could be a bit friendlier though
Staff friendly, food nice and not too expensive. They even have a best czech beer Staropramen. Toilets very clean. Highly recommend. Would definitely go again soon.
