Food was was pretty good would have given 5 stars if the fried bread wasn’t so stodgy. Only given 3 stars for service as it’s pretty much self service. You pay at bar and then help yourself. Not much interaction to say. Was very quiet with no music. The lady who served me seemed friendly enough.
Lovely roast dinner. Choice of 4 meats, yorkie, crackling and plentiful fresh vegetables and gravy. Well presented carvery and the carver was welcoming and generous. Great bar service from Chris who went the extra mile in his service. In fact, all staff members were excellent. Great parking and views over the river added to what was a pleasant Sunday afternoon. Would certainly recommend.
Parking was easy and plentiful, Donna greeted upon entry, wishing us a Happy New Year... food was hot and readily available, coffee needs improving (but then we are both coffee snobs)... overall, a very pleasant and relaxed feel.. thank you...
Poor at best! My family was welcomed in on Saturday evening, the restaurant was quiet. We all chose our meals but when ordering we were told half of it wasn’t available and there a 40 minute delay, ok we can rethink and wait! Omg just look at the the pictures, this was my burger meal and my daughters pasta, the other meals were no better either, basically penne pasta in tomato water and the burgers can only be described as drinks coasters, rock hard and about 5mm thick! These pictures are before we had touched the meals in case you wonder! The staff are trying there hardest it seems but the quality of the ingredients is diabolical! It’s not expensive but it’s also barely edible! Just to top it off the toilets are manky with no soap in the dispensers. Definitely won’t spend time or money there again.
Wonderful staff, amazing views, as much breakfast you can eat, and tea to drink. Everything clean, food hot. Chef promptly restocked the breakfast dishes for my unbooked party of 9 this morning. Great way to start our couple of days on the Island.
