WARNING DO NOT VISIT THIS BUSINESS. Tonight 30th September 2023 at apx 21:30. myself and a friend received the worst customer service i have ever received in my life. Both Non drinkers and SOBER suffering from huge anxiety, I was recommended to this quiet upstairs pool and snooker room with a quiet atmosphere. Atmosphere quiet yes however bar staff from hell doesn't come close to the service received. After requesting a set of snooker balls, I asked if they accepted card payments to which the lady replied not tonight. I assumed this simply ment cash only so intended to ask the lady where the closest cash machine was, however before being able to make this request i was told she would not be serving us. When I asked for an explanation to the aggressive attitude, I was advised she doesn't need to have a reason to refuse to serve us. When I asked her what we have done to warrant such an appalling attitude, she stated, "we dont serve your kind here". When asked what thats supposed to mean she pointed at my SOBER friend and said "he's blazing" for anyone not from around here that means he is too drunk. Now considering the same person had been in there all day playing pool and drinking juice NON alcoholic. He had suggested to me how quiet the place was no stress we could get a few games of pool or snooker. Now is being acused of being drunk. When he invited her to smell his breath to find that no alcohol was present she then decided she would give us 1 chance. Considering we had not stagerd through the door and until this moment been very polite we decided that the anxiety and stress the staff had caused before things got out of hand we would rather leave than spend a single penny with this establishment and ensure that everybody we know would be steered away from this toxic place. The discrimination on offer at this venue is beyond disappointing and appalling. To anybody looking for a relaxing venue to play a few games this is not it. I have since learned that this is not an isolated instance, and infact has been a running theme how they are still trading I have no idea. I will personally be taking this further than just a negative review. To the lady that discriminated against us tonight, you should be ashamed of yourself. I expect this type of behaviour from a child not a grown adult. Disgraceful.
My partner and his friend were in to play a game and they refused him service saying they don't want to serve his kind and claimed his friend was drunk even though all he had been drinking was monster and red bull, absolutely disgusting customer service should be held accountable
Very unwelcoming! My son was given a hard time by an older man for ordering water to drink. My son who has health issues and is on medication does not drink alcohol or fizzy juice. I cannot believe in this day and age that someone can be discriminated against for not drinking. My son has visited the place several times and never been challenged. Maybe this dinosaur running the place should waken up and realise that the customers are keeping him in a job therefore be nicer to them!
Great pool / snooker hall & bar. Very friendly service & staff. 4 of us played snooker until a pool table became available. Prices for games & drinks, very reasonable!
