Spent a night at this lovely North York Moors pub, set in a beautiful village. We were immediately made to feel welcome. Settled into our cosy bedroom with a view over the pretty village green. Enjoyed an excellent meal in the bar. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very quiet, peaceful location, comfortable bed and lovely breakfast. Local walks were easily accessed from the Inn. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again.
I had a lovely meal with my partner. I can safely say it’s the best steak we have ever had. The service was brilliant and food was served quickly. We would highly recommend this hidden gem.
Service couldn't be faulted, the pub was busy but we were shown to a table in a comfy corner and served with drinks almost straight away. When our food order was taken, we were told their would be a five minute delay which was very nice and accurate. Two of us had sandwiches, chicken and bacon with thick cut chips. And I had the soup which came with a bowl of croutons and a warm bread roll.
Perfect position if you are staying in the village. Superb Sunday lunch. I had roast beef. Enough to feed 2 hungry people. No room for starter or pudding, all of which looked delicious, The service is friendly and efficient.
We had (a group of 4) had been following a quiz/guided tour of the North York Moors. Ending at Levisham Station. We popped into the Horseshoe pub at 2.15 to see if they were still serving food. They were just. It was very busy, but with a friendly atmosphere. All tables were full. However, one table left, and this was quickly cleaned and placed for us. The service was exemplary, very quick, and caring. After ordering, the food arrived quickly and was very well received. 2 x scampi & chips, 1 x sausage & mash. 1 x butternut squash risotto
