Approaching our fifth birthday fast, we are now established as one of the premier real ale free houses in the area.
The Hop Inn is hurtling towards serving up it’s 2000th cask ale! Apart from our “house” bitter (Hop Inn Ale from Ramsbury Brewery) we change beers every barrel. We do repeat beers but not very often, there are thousands of them out there so why not regard us as an ongoing beer festival.
Add to that a great selection of lagers, imported beers, ciders, wines, quality spirits and now hand-made pizzas you have a great little venue to come and enjoy a convivial get together.

Went along for an acoustic gig upstairs, which holds maybe 100 people. Did not eat or spend much time downstairs, however atmosphere was warm and bar staff were welcoming. Wide selection of beers but couldn't find one that was to my taste. Perhaps I need to go back and complete the job.
Fun place to be. Stayed for drinks and a bite to eat after the Shopsmall Market. Great atmosphere and selection of beers. I had a really good burger. Worth a visit.
The price of a pint ranges from between £4-7. There are some great beers on. A funky, modern interior and colour scheme. A much better experience than the 'Eternal Optimist' down the road!
Helpful bar owners...chatted about the cider range and let me try it. Lots of Sunday lunchers eating...we'd already eaten so didn't partake. Roasted pots on the bar for a naughty nibble. Lots of pub card games available. Husband and I played crib. I won 🏆 🤣 lovely pub 😀
Excellent beers and outstanding service. The Toffee Stout is a class above the rest. One of the best I’ve had. Relaxing atmosphere.
