We are a friendly relaxed pub, a place to come a chill with a beer after a hard day. We have pool and darts teams that play for us and a traditional "Monday Club" which is a card bingo, play your cards right and name cards, all for cash prizes.
At the weekends we have live artists and bands playing and a different kind of fun begins! There's nothing our team like more than a good dance and a sing song with the locals, obviously washed down by a few cheeky drinks!
Our function room is beautiful and has a separate bar to the main bar, an added bonus is it's FREE to hire! From a Christening to an 80th Birthday, a wedding or simply a family get together, any excuse for a party! We have a fantastic resident disco and DJ too, Standard Entertainment, so if you choose to you can boogie the night away or even give us a tune on the karaoke. We can always provide your catering too so all you have to do is turn up, let us take care of everything else.
We also are very proud to serve a Sunday Carvery which is all fresh food, cooked in our kitchen on site and our mashed potato is always complimented on as not many restraunts serve mash! We serve four meats on most Sundays but remember to leave room for some of our delicious puddings!.

Good local pub. Everyone is friendly and good atmosphere.
Visited for a private birthday function in the back room. Good service and venue for a typically British pub party. Quick bar service considering the amount of people.
The honest lawyer( a contradiction in terms ) is a very friendly pub, I've never eaten there however the food looks nice and is well presented, it has a pool table, nice atmosphere,and helpful staff. KEITH.
Had a Family Members wake here today 5/5/23 ,we couldnt of been more looked after The 2 Barmaids went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly The buffet was lovely really fresh
We recently had our wedding do and after party at the Honest Lawyer. Nice sized function room with it’s own bar, outside smoking area as well as more seating, use of table and chairs and lovely and friendly staff. They catered for everything and everyone at short notice for me and my husband and made everything easy and relaxed for us. The disco we also had by Standard Entertainment was also perfect and definitely made the event a party! Would highly recommend thank you for everything xx
