A proper old school style pub, the cleanest of beers, a friendly group of locals and just an all round good atmosphere. Will be a regular haunt without doubt. Oh, and a welcoming landlord. 5 stars without doubt.
Booked function room for sons birthday. DJ arrived and the venue was unaware of booking. By the time we got there they were happy to show us where to go. Was offered and exepted jugs of squash which never arrived. Still very spacious function room with buffet area bar and toilets. Reasonably priced.
Fantastic Local Pub - really like the extra effort that has been put in since my last visit. The new owner appears to be really pushing the boat out in there and it is showing! We have to have a discussion and try to arrange a bike night there, when we are next in the area!
Brilliant morning at the Hodcarrier, organised by Steve Buyer, Noel Willis hosting today. £5 for unlimited coffees and teas and a bacon batch proceeds go to charity. If you want listen to great music and or join in playing then come along each week. You won't be disappointed! 3😁😍🤩
