In 2010, I was fortunate to buy this little piece of history and return home to the place where I had grown up. Home it certainly is, as I am part of the fifth generation of my family to have lived in this area.
This beautiful family run riverside pub has been standing on the banks of the River Wye a little longer and dates back to the 15th century. With charming traditional features, warming open fires and stunning views across the Valley, Ye Old Ferrie Inn is the ideal place to enjoy the breath-taking countryside that surrounds it.

Extraordinary! Went on a quiet Friday lunchtime in January, and the quality of food, service and ambiance was brilliant. The food was some of the best I have had in a long time and we're changing our travel plans so that we can go again. A hidden gem!
Enjoyed a delicious meal with family last night at this beautiful pub with a stunning location. However, I was a little bit disappointed in the children's menu, and some of the staff were much better than others. We ordered drinks from the bar as no one came to check on us.
What a fantastic setting. Right on the banks of the river Wye with stunning views from the outside area and from the restaurant. Careful driving down the winding narrow road to get to it,but it's worth it. Lovely staff, great service, big selection of beers. Food was really, really nice, best chowder I've had and gammon egg and chips was gorgeous. Didn't really want a dessert but once you see the menu it's difficult not to indulge. Sticky toffee pudding with ice cream, baileys cheesecake, fruit crumbles, rice pudding Aaaaahhhh! All gorgeous. So glad we found this pub after a long walk around the woods at Symonds Yat East, highly, highly recommended if your in the area. We had a half hour wait for a table, recommend booking.
What an amazing place! We just stayed for a child-free little weekend getaway in the Kingfisher room and loved it! The service was great, everyone goes the extra mile to help. The food was amazing, we had dinner last night and breakfast this morning. The room was so cozy and had such a beautiful view. We ended up going for a walk, and they were so helpful in suggesting where to go. Definitely looking forward to another visit.
What a setting! Only stopped for an afternoon beer (and very nice too) and we sat outside overlooking the Wye in full flood. Just wonderful. Those inside were certainly enjoying the food and the view. Great atmosphere. A good friend told me he'd had the best steak he'd ever tasted there. Next time!
