Great beers, great food and a great atmosphere.
The Head of Steam Tynemouth is situated in the village, close to the beach and Tynemouth Priory and Castle. Offering our well known selection of beers including craft beer, cask ale, low and no alcohol, as well as cocktails, wines and spirits. Pieminister Pies are available seven days, along with vegan donuts and coffee. There are live music options with midweek acoustic sessions, open mic nights and DJ’s playing your favourite music every Friday and Saturday night.
Great bar in a fantastic location. Friendly bar staff every time we visit. Cracking Saturday night watching Newcastle match then live DJ. We danced all night and drank some great beer.
Stood for literally 10 minutes waiting to be served while the man behind the bar served everyone else - people who had just arrived. Ended up walking out, it was infuriating just waiting without any acknowledgement and him seeing me just stood there waiting. No friendliness from the staff behind the bar, more life at a morgue
Always a decent selection of beers at this pub chain.
The atmosphere is always good. The beer selection is great. Sadly service was really slow, two girls were running around doing their best and were non stop, but the guy was just aimlessly wandering around. But that aside, it's a great place for a good beer.
Clean, good atmosphere quite a selection of beers and cocktails right on the front street and the steak and ale 🥧 mash, gravy and peas are absolutely delicious, this is well worth a visit.
