Even before we reached the restaurant, I received an untimely phone call inquiring about our arrival, a good 20 minutes ahead of our reservation. Upon our arrival, the waiter displayed extreme rudeness and impoliteness, leaving us with an unwelcome feeling, all while making it apparent that he was inconvenienced due to staffing for our booking. Throughout our meal, he repeatedly addressed me as "sweetie," which made several members of our group uncomfortable. To add to the frustration, he started clearing the table while we were still eating, without bothering to check if I had finished my meal. Afterward, he seemed determined to rush us out of the restaurant by moving tables and signaling his desire to go home. This entire experience left me feeling both upset and appalled by the waiter's behaviour.
On the plus side the staff were lovely and that’s the reason for the three stars. The main problem is noise. It’s is staggeringly noisy. The walls are paper thin and even though we were on the top floor the noise from the road was extreme. We were genuinely confused how the noise could be so bad, even to the extent we searched for open windows. I certainly wouldn’t stay here again unfortunately
Stayed here in family room , quirky place with uneven flooring room was great 2 bedrooms 3 TVs nice modern facilities good view of town. Lovely breakfast and a great bar
We stayed at Harry's for 3 nights in July. A great location in the main part of town, the room was clean and quite big. The staff were really friendly and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was excellent with a really good selection of buffet options and a brilliant cooked breakfast. The bar was a great place to chill before going out to see more of the night life in Aberystwyth.
Went with 2 friends for a bike weekend on May 26th. I could not recommend this place enough. Rooms were small and basic but spotless. Perfect for our requirements. The bar staff, management and regulars were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We will be definitely returning.
