Gwesty, bar a bwyty ar lan harbwr Aberaeron. The Harbourmaster is a Hotel, bar and restaurant on the harbourside in Aberaeron.
The Harbourmaster was bought and renovated by us back in 2001: 6 months later it opened for business and was popular from the start. We are both from the area and after other careers decided that the Harbourmaster Hotel could do with some tlc. The quayside in Aberaeron was a great location for what was then, the new trend for ‘boutique hotels’.
Hard work, great publicity, many ups and downs and expansion has made the hotel what it is today. Our aim from the start was to provide stylish rooms, serve good fresh local food and drink in a buzzy atmosphere.
We have built up a great team with the emphasis on giving local people the opportunity to develop. We believe the hotel, bar and restaurant is very important to the town and has contributed to making Aberaeron famous throughout the UK as a must visit place.

We didn't stay in the hotel as we stayed near Lampeter but this was recommended by our hosts at the little cow shed. Absolutely did not disapoint. My partner is gluten free due to colitis. This is a preference rather than intolerance but a whole gluten free menu was provided for him. Very good and wide range in menu. He didn't feel restricted at all. Gorgeous food. Lovely service 🫶 We both had scallops. I had the Seafood risotto and Josh has the fish of the day. All stunning 👌🏻❤️ Will be back when we come back.
Upon arrival, there was no welcome. The Charcuterie we ordered was very good and we really enjoyed it. If I had to recommend anything it would be a sweet chutney in addition to all the lovely savoury food.
Not a fan when we visited some years ago but have been twice this year. This week we had a lovely waitress who enthused about her work and the area. Lovely lady. We enjoyed a great meal, choosing lamb, beef, vegetarian and seafood dishes. Empty plates all around. Tasty deserts too. Great location overlooking Aberaeron harbour.
This place was stunning, and we called in on the off chance. Everything about it was amazing. Can't vouch for the rooms as we didn't stay in one. We loved it that much we have booked to go back Saturday. The food was exceptional. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, and the location wow just fabulous....
Without doubt the best cooked breakfast I've ever had! Everything was cooked to perfection, and the lava bread was just incredible. We also went last night for a drink and the craft ale was spot on. Also, really friendly helpful staff. Just can't recommend this place enough and I'll be looking forward to heading over tonight. I'm not one for writing reviews but couldn't help myself

Prince is going through a transition stage at present so I am only open limited hours. Open on Wednesday for Gateway 5.30 till close. Friday and Saturday 12-2 pm and 6-10 pm. Closed all other times.
