A group of us girls came before Christmas and the chef wasn't in (sick) and the lovely bar manager Clare did everything with the help of one bar staff. Both of the ladies couldn't have been lovelier if they tried. Food was amazing, service was top notch and they both deserve a pay rise! Can't recommend this pub enough, it's got a homely feel and staff and customers are always friendly and welcoming.
Called in at 3 pm on a Friday, to find just a handful of people spread out in the pub while heavy, indie, mostly emo music blared, with poor quality sound reproduction, out of the speakers. Bizarre. And spoiled the opportunity for a pleasant afternoon chat over a pint 😞

We only found this place by accident and so glad we did the staff there went way beyond the extra mile and couldn’t do enough for you always attentive the Head Chef produced a fine curry that my partner and friend really enjoyed. The prices are really good a fine evening had by all Eldon Arms take a bow. You were all amazing we shall return.
Excellent, excellent place to go for a really good meal. There is a professional chef preparing some of the best food I've ever had in a UK pub. Clean, very well organised, reasonable pricing and excellent bar staff. Very good pub.
