You can therefore be rest assured that our Real Ales will be varied, well cared for and expertly delivered by the experienced Village Home pub bar staff, so that you get the perfect pint every time. Take a look at our Beers page where you will find listed the beers currently on offer at the bar.
Whilst providing a wide range of beers, wines, spirits, traditional ales, teas and coffees, the Village Home pub promotes a friendly, laid back atmosphere that is far removed from the atmospheric vacuums that fill our high streets.

I was visiting relatives and have passed the pub many times before, but never had the chance to pop in. We'll I broke my duck and went in for a pint. It was busy, lively and had a good atmosphere. The clientele seemed a decent bunch of people and we didn't feel as if we were intruding. A decent, if not wide range of local beer and I had a decent pint. I can't comment on the food as we didn't eat. My one complaint was the bar staff. I asked about the beer and she pointed at a pump and when she sore my card reached for the reader. She didn't speak throughout the hole transaction. Frankly, she was pig ignorant and down right rude.
It's not the best pub. I feel as though there is a mixed atmosphere depending on when i go. I've witnessed altercations in the pub over the past several visits, which is a real turn-off. I'd typically go to 'the fighting cocks' as its a better environment, friendly staff and locals plus they serve great food for a local. 'The Village has a real mixed age group, which is nice and plenty of regulars if you want to become part of the click. The staff are mostly OK, but a couple of them bring an attitude to work with them. The owner is typically present, which is really great to see.
I lovely local pub with unique decor, a welcoming atmosphere and great food from the independent residents of the kitchen, Urban Slice.
Friendly pub, great local vibe. Pizzas looked good, but I didn't have one. We will definitely be going back.
First visit to this quaint watering hole. Attended the weekly quiz and had one of their pizzas. The pizza was delicious. I'm definitely coming back, but only if to improve my general knowledge. Staff are really friendly, and the food served promptly
