Traditional pub near the site of the original Rhymney Brewery with usually two guest beers available. The cosy bar with its flagstone floor and real fire is very welcome on a Winter's day. Rhymney railway station is a modest walk, as is High Street and the nearest bus stops.
Just got back from a great Sunday roast. Food was fantastic all seven of us agreed. Staff were friendly and efficient. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you Farmers Arms team.
We are currently visiting Wales for a midweek break. While looking on Google for somewhere to have a meal for my birthday, I came across The Farmers Arms and was immediately impressed by the reviews and the menu. This place is a little gem with lovely staff/owners and fantastic food. We will definitely return on our next trip to Wales!
Came as a party of 19, very good food, great atmosphere, great hosts and the beef and gravy are to die for! Lovely old fashioned pub with a upmarket trendy menu. Fairplay to you all. 19 People and not one thing wrong at all was amazing. Not one bad thing to say about the meal.
Absolutely amazing. One of the best places we have eaten for ages. Will definitely be returning very soon
I'd give 100 stars if I could!! I drove over an hour to visit this highly recommended pub and it did not disappoint. The food is absolutely incredible. The flavours are amazing and everything is cooked to perfection. I had the squid starter, blue cheese burger and scampi side. It was all perfection on a plate! The staff are so friendly and accommodating. A must visit in the south wales valleys. Don't be put off by the location!
