Inspired by the traditional grand cafes of Europe, Gusto is all about making the everyday exquisite. See, we believe being grand doesn’t have to be a big deal.
Our classic and contemporary Italian menu takes fresh, carefully selected, simple ingredients to create the best tasting food around. And our timeless, classic surroundings make any occasion – whether it’s a family lunch or dinner for two – feel special.
In the leafy Leeds suburb of Cookridge sits a 200-year old Olive tree, providing the perfect backdrop to the timeless elegance of Gusto. Add to that a superb wine and cocktail list and you’ll get a real flavour of Italy combined with proper Yorkshire class.
If you’re going to do anything, do it with taste. And do it with style.
After all, life is a gift; live it with Gusto every day.

We went here last Friday to make the most of the 50% off for January offer, we had to wait 30 minutes as we hadn't booked but that was fine as they have a lovely bar area to wait in. The food was delicious and my 3 year old ate her full meal which is a testament to how good it was (I love that they offered plain chicken strips for kids, rather than chicken goujons/nuggets), however, I found it a little strange there was an additional charge for the fruit ice lolly for her (brownie, ice cream etc was all included, just the 'healthier' option wasn't!) Over all we would certainly return, and had a lovely dining experience.
Lovely place, first time visiting. It just opened and place was empty for about 2hrs. Which we enjoyed. The food was nice and very friendly staff. Could do with better wheelchair access in a few places and a bit better observation to customers. Had to keep waving hands around to get staff attention. But the staff were very kind and nice. Will visit again.
First time visiting and definitely won’t be the last. The pizza was delicious and so was the garlic dough petals. We were served by Jemima she was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. Thank you 🍕🍷
To start with we managed to get a table for three people very much last minute, so that is a good start. The staff we encountered were very friendly, lovely and profesional. In terms of food, they have quite a range of choices from meat lovers to vegan. Menu is attached. We started with a sharing board that was delicious. Then, I wanted to try something different and went for the vegan redefine flank stake. I was pleasently surprise with the taste and the presentation. My other half had the seabass and our friend the honey lemon thyme chicken, I didn't taste but if they tasted the same as they smelled, OMG, I was having a little bit of food envy! Desserts were also quite varied! I forgot to take the pics though, to focus on enjoying them from the first bite ✨
The food was absolutely amazing! Catered for a large group of us including children and couldn’t fault the service at all! They even helped keep the children entertained by letting them make their own pizza’s before they were cooked! Only downfall was that the music was way too loud but that’s just been a bit picky! Would be visiting again!
