Community owned traditional British pub in Thriplow. Set in idyllic surrounds in rural south Cambridgeshire, this charming pub focuses on good local real ale and British food.
The Green Man has a fantastic selection of drinks including wonderful fine wines, amazing ales (Doom Bar and Woodforde’s Wherry) plus a seasonal ale and a weekly guest ale, a charming cider, some lovely lagers and some satisfying spirits along with several soft drinks.
The wine list will consist of mostly French wines sourced from smaller independent vineyards that still produce wines the right way, but it will include some New World quality wines, like a New Zealand sauvignon blanc.
Alongside the brilliant drinks selection, the pub is also very excited to reveal the new menu featuring locally sourced food that caters to everyone’s palette. The only difficulty you will have is deciding what you want to eat!.

Really lovely pub. Staff we friendly and helpful and the food was delicious!
One of the best roasts I've had. Lovely pub, very friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely visit again. My mum also loved the vegetarian option roast, said it was the nicest she has had. The only slight negative I had was the price of dessert, £8.00 is quite steep, and it was very small.
The muscles are nice, the sauce was tasty and the bread was fluffy and flavourful. The honey roasted ham was so nice and sweet and paired nicely with the chips and eggs. Good portion sizes with okay pricing. Not much variety for desserts though.
Managed to book a table for 4 this morning, arrived at 3.20 for a 3.30 booking. First impressions were very good, staff friendly and welcoming. We were seated quickly at a clean table and soon had drinks and menus. Excellent choice on offer, I had roast lamb which was delicious, served with veg cooked to perfection, followed by pannacotta with berries. A lovely pub/restaurant with happy staff = happy customers! Highly recommend a visit
Catered v well for our party of 21 cyclists today! I had sea bream with clam chowder & samphire in a creamy sauce which was delicious! My wife's fish and chips scored highly too, as did the beer! Nice old pub, set in a pretty village! Highly recommended!
