It's the best pub in the South. Literally voted in as the winner. Update. Still the best! Beer Club on the first Thursday of the month, 5 (or maybe 6) beers and some Melton's Smoke Shack street food. Bargain. 10 cask, 8 keg, 50+ craft cans/bottles. Winning.

A must visit for any beer lover. About 40 beers on tap (yes... 40) and probably another 40 in bottles/cans. Great atmosphere and a lovely location by the cathedral too. I will be back soon!

Wet pub with traditional cheese and onion rolls if wish. Lots of beer on tap and special ones in cans. Take outs too. Great team of bar persons. Regular live music too.

This place friendly and lovely atmosphere, different ciders, raspberry ripple cider is lovely, different real ales and a lovely stout, nice outdoor seating area, Definitely recommend.. Have just won an award, its always busy and friendly.. Visiting again today 18/09/22 same lovely friendly service, busy and raspberry ripple cider just as nice. This pub has just won camera pub of 2022 and well deserved, and nice pin badges to commerate.. We been going here every so often because they done a nice fruity cider and stout but they have now changed that cider to one that isn't my taste. We popped in last night 02/02/2023 but didn't stay as it still didn't have cider I liked but main reason because the bar has now got bright lights which has ruined the old style of pub main bar. Having spoken to others after they said the same that not as good. But everyone personal opinion is different.. As I said personal opinion is different.. We do like this pub find it relaxing and just the good old fashioned pub.. Having had a reply back from owner its nice to hear that be able to drink the lovely Raspberry Ripple again and the Lighting is back to being comfortable so can put back to 4* 👍
