The restaurant at this bed and breakfast served delicious food, a definite highlight of my stay. However, the room cleanliness was subpar, with badly stained carpets and marked walls. A bit more attention to maintenance could greatly improve the overall experience for guests. Friendly staff, but room conditions need improvement.

Stayed overnight after a day in very nearby Bourton on the Water. The road I took to reach the Inn was very narrow but had lots of places to tuck into to let others get past etc. Fab views. At the Inn I parked with ease on the road alongside other cars. Told beforehand there are no parking restrictions or street lamps so if like me you pop to your car later on take a torch as it's pitch black. If like me you star gaze pack your binocs. I wasn't disappointed. Nice outside patio. Really nice interior. Very charming and welcoming. My room was reached by an outside door in an attached building steps from the patio and bar, up some stairs. It was set up for 2 guests although there was just me. I was impressed with my room. Dinner and breakfast were very nice. Clearly quality produce and reasonable prices. Good service. Pub was lively in the evening but the bar was not open late "late" like some places. So nice and quiet. I did mention at check out that I had no toiletries in my room and the owner was genuinely apologetic for their oversight. I had my own so not major for me. All in all a very nice experience. My emails were answered very quickly!

Nice little country pub set in a little village. Cold aston is set between Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bourton - on - the - Water which are also nice places to visit.. We didn't have food here as they were busy with Bike Nite which is nice for them to support. There is plenty of seating inside and outside nice little outdoor area.. Didn't find staff very welcoming but as said they were really busy.. Will go again to try food

I stayed here with my husband in June and we had the most amazing time. We were doing a road trip through the Cotswolds and needed a place to stay and this was the perfect find. We ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and the food was absolutely incredible. The room was so nice and clean and we would definitely return again.

Location ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Middle of the Cotswolds... enough said 😍 Interior ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Such a cute little pub, nice and simple decor but a very warm and friendly vibe. And it's dog friendly!! Exterior ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Driving up to the pub it just appeared from nowhere. There is limited options for parking and the beer garden was quite small (although in the rain that didn't really matter) Service ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ We were served by the most chilled and friendly host imaginable, all evening he was just superb. His character really made for an enjoyable experience Food ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ So the quality of food cannot be complained about. We had... - Sharing boards to start which had nice cured meats, olives and bread, I would have enjoyed some oil or cheese just to finish the boards but overall they were good. - Venison, Chicken, Beef Burger and Steak for Mains and they were all spot on! 👌 cooked perfectly and full if flavour. - finished with cheese board, chocolate marquise and ice cream. The ice cream was a bit frozen (as in icy and crunchy in places) but the marquise was actually a slice of pure heaven. Price ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The prices are a touch on the pricey side for me, the food is amazing but £9.50 for the starters and cheese boards just felt steep. Also for the money I would have enjoyed a bit of salad or coleslaw with the burger. Steak with sauce almost touching £30 isn't the most extreme but it isn't great value either. Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I really enjoyed the evening, we had great company, great food and great service. There are a few bits that could be improved but honestly I would do it all again in a heartbeat 💓
