About us

You can find the pub in the main cafe at Gibside and it's open when the estate is and until 9pm on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Quench your thirst with ale on tap from Wylam Brewery, including Scorpion Lager, Red Kite and Gold Tankard. There's also bottled cider, lager and wine on offer, alongside a range of soft drinks.

There is seating indoors, where we have two log burners on during the winter months, and outdoors where we always light the log fire braziers. However, it can still be a little chilly so we also have some blankets available to borrow (for a £5 deposit).

Some nights can be particularly busy and we do recommend that you bring along a deckchair to ensure that you can relax with friends and family.

While you're here, perhaps take a short stroll across Market Place and order a wood-fired pizza from the resident pizza maker, Michael. They're available fresh to order and you can eat them at the pub or take-away, whatever suits you.

Did we mention it's family friendly? Every member of the family is welcome. There is even a mini-play area so that the youngsters can enjoy their evening just as much as the big kids (yes, adults, that's you). Plus, the dog(s) can come too.
