About us

The George Inn is a beautiful country pub located in the idyllic village of Sandy Lane. We offer a delicious West Country Carvery, which is served daily alongside a tasty pub-classics menu. We also have a great range of quality cask ales, stunning beer garden and open log fire. A warm welcome awaits you!

We feel we source the highest quality ingredients and local when possible. Our pork is very local from Padfields Porkies in Seend and when possible our veg is from our own village of Bromham.

Discover our other beautiful pub; the award winning Greyhound, Bromham.

Lovely pub and lovely food. The carvery is good with a choice of three different meats. Very good choice of vegetables. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend a visit to this place.

Always good food here. I ate with my grand daughter on a Sunday so we had a carvery which was great. Parking is available free but the car park is only small and there's a main busy road but no on road parking. I advise to get in early .

Another fabulous lunchtime carvery meal. My friends family and I really enjoy going here, sadly only on an occasional basis, like a few times a month. We are blessed with other splendid places to eat locally, but this is one our favourites. The atmosphere is just right, not to busy to be crowded like other popular places. Produce is sourced locally and served by the convivial chef. Staff are ultra friendly, check you are pleased with the food and always on hand to serve. Well done to all who serve, happy diners.

Excellent carvery. We had the pork & turkey. Vegetable choices were very good & the Yorkshire Puddings 10 / 10. The gravy was rich and couldn't be faulted. Our only criticism being the roast potatoes. These were too big, too hard & not brown enough. The staff were well presented, friendly and helpful.

We visited here on a Friday evening for the carvery. There is plenty of parking and service was great - friendly and attentive. The tables are nicely spaced so you have privacy and room, rather than being crammed in. We opted for the carvery rather than the menu and it was excellent value. The food was nicely cooked with plenty of vegetables options. We did go for desserts too although that was more from gluttony than still being hungry! Will certainly return.
