Went with a friend for Sunday lunch. Choice of four meats (yay they had lamb) to choose from, good selection of veg and as much gravy as you wished. Couldn't manage a dessert, too full. Will be back!

Today my Mother and myself had our Sunday lunch in The George Hotel , Lydd , Kent. This was a delicious carvery which offered roast pork , lamb , beef , turkey and gammon. The selection of vegetables was very good with everything from roast potatoes , cauliflower cheese , mashed swede ,cabbage , carrots , peas & sweetcorn . Also stuffing and huge homemade Yorkshire Puddings which were truly delicious. There was a huge vat of gravy and a selection of condiments to complement your meal. All in all this was an excellent carvery and we do recommend it to everyone. At £15.00 per head I don’t think you can go wrong.

It’s a great place, the people are so friendly and helpful. We came late and it was no problem to make some food for us. The food is so delicious and enough, we’re glad to found this place. Unfortunately we slept somewhere else. We hope to come back. Greetings from Holland

Not a luxury place but so pleasant and simple. The welcome is nice, the bedrooms are clean, the breakfast is really generous, but above all the people are so friendly. We really enjoyed the place for the price we paid. Special thanks to Royston ( the truck driver and his wife) we spent a nice evening with chatting about the world. Thank you to the lady at the counter who did her best to make us happy. I do recommend this true honest place.

Had a delicious meal here today! Can absolutely recommend the Moo steak and ale pie... with melt in your mouth steak, onions, gravy and extra gravy! Served with buttery mash and peas. I had no room for dessert.. but my other half chose BlackBerry and Apple pie and custard! Excellent choices on their menu! Something to suit all! Comfortable, cosy surroundings with friendly, professional staff! Can't wait to go again! Please try the restaurant! Excellent value!
