THE GATHER INN, WHERE THE LAND MEETS THE SEA.
The Gather Inn is a family owned, lovely seafront pub, with restaurant, guest rooms, free parking and stunning views!.
Amazing hotel . I loved the food so spicy really enjoyed it and the chef is so funny. Can't do enough for you especially all the tea they give you .
Stayed here for one night. Service was friendly, staff were excellent. Accomodation is very basic, not super comfortable. Had lunch, roast dinners, ok but not outstanding. No breakfast available which we felt was a shame, for the price we paid. Quite shocked at the lack of disabled toilet facilities but otherwise quite a nice place.
Currently staying here for a week, was going to wait to review but felt the need to now or I'll forget.... Pros- Food is great, decent sized portions (I'm 6ft3 and built like an Orca) recommend the Cajun Cod and Sweet potato fries. Staying in the triple, good size room, clean and quiet as one would expect an inn on the seafront to be. Fantastic view of the lagoon and sea. Cons - Room is like the Sahara. Heating not on ( save you a few quid gather inn 😂 ) Please note that I'm 6ft3 and built like a shed, which may contribute to the heat.
Great location if you want to visit Brighton during the day but want a place a little quieter later at night and you can park for free on the street. The room was clean, warm and surprisingly quiet as it faced the main road. Service was friendly and efficient.
All staff were super friendly and helpful from start to finish, including the security guard! Rooms are kind of what you'd expect as a 2 star. However, the cleanliness wasn't great. The shower head and sink plughole were grimey, and the bedsheets and duvet had stains on. The toothbrush holder definitely hadn't been cleaned in a while, so i kept mine in my case. It wasn't grim, but it could definitely be a lot better. I expected 2 stars to be basic but cleaner. I'm just mentioning the things i noticed. I booked the attic room with a mate (which has a lovely view to the left side) but unfortunately was unbearably warm on a warm day and had an extremely small bathroom which you can barely dry yourself and get changed in. The only saving grace at night was the big loft window you could open, but it didn't do anything during the day unless you literally stuck your head out of it. I would stay again, but avoid the attic room and ask for a fan (which i was told all rooms had, but there wasn't one!). Also, the bar is decent enough, and there was a super friendly barmaid, but the glass my drink was served in was filthy. So much so that i left my drink.
