This was a friendly traditional country pub with good beer and a nice atmosphere.
I wanted to play pool. There was a family on the table, which was fine. I offered to pay for however many games it would cost for me to play one game. We played, a normal game, until I started winning. Then for some reason I was playing the wrong color. I made a complaint and I'm not allowed back. Apparently bar pool is more important to this pub than customer service. Oh, they do food . Maybe by some food here
Just popped here with friends for a couple of drinks. First time. Pleasantly surprised. Proper English pub, good service, friendly locals. Very impressed with the cleanliness of the ladies toilets. Lovely little pub. Will definitely be back
I dropped in here one weekday afternoon, having experienced the dreary and dull Yarbrough Arms down the road. The service from Kim was excellent and made me feel thoroughly welcome. I enjoyed the atmosphere and ale so much I stayed longer than intended. I will be back!
