I met a friend there. We sat in the bar and were clearly the first people in for lunch but the seat had crumbs on it and the table felt sticky. We just ordered light bites the food was nice but a portion of chips was £5 and rather small. I won't rush back.

My baby boy got hand foot and mouth so we couldn’t come. Wouldn’t even let us rearrange at reduced price. Said too short notice. Sorry I couldn’t plan My babies illness. Asked manager to call me back and still waiting. Appreciate cancellation policy but in current climate and circumstances I was asking to try and rebook not get a refund. We were really disappointed we couldn’t go because we had planned a little break (much needed with first new baby) and also going to the deep. The deep rearranged our tickets no problem.

The Fox and Coney is a really nice traditional village pub. There is a nice large front bar which is quite cozy. There is a wide choice of beers lager and ciders including some excellent cask conditioned hand pulled real ales. The real ale was perfect when i visited. At the back of the pub is a large dining room which was very busy when I called in, the pub has a very good reputation for its meals. I didn't have any food but I checked out the menu, and I will definitely be back with the family for something to eat. The staff are very friendly, there's a nice outside covered seating area and car park to the rear.

Staying nearby and needed a evening meal. Popped in for drink and booked table for that evening. Well choosen pub for food and drink Words cant explain how excellent from first impressions to leaving. All food outstanding. The best chicken keivi ever had. Plus husband steak pie was outstanding moulded pastry dish with shortcrust pastry, then tender tasty steak and gravy. Would highly recommend if in the area for food and drinks. Also very friendly helpful and attentive staff.

This place was recommended to us by a friend and boy, it didn’t disappoint- Fabulous hidden gem in South Cave with a wonderful warm atmosphere. Fabulous friendly warm service and the food was totally delicious. Michelin Star standard without the price tag! I had the rolled and stuffed roast Belly Pork Sunday lunch which was scrumptious- followed by Sticky Toffee pudding and custard which was divine! Will totally be returning!
