We had a family Sunday roast on a recommendation from a friend, it was the best roast we have ever eaten by far!!!! Everything from the decor to service to the food was excellent, we ate so glad we found it as we will certainly return.
The food was amazing, and well presented, I had a curry the likes of which I’ve not tasted before and highly recommend you try it, the wife had steak which was cooked to perfection. The staff were attentive, polite and courteous, A large screen showing sports at one end of the bar and the most comfortable seats I’m glad we choose to visit and will do so again. Although a small car park is available street parking is not a problem.
Really lovely food, they clearly have a good chef here, but the atmosphere feeling lacking. The decor is looking a little tired and doesn't match the food style. Good range of wine too.
We went into The Foresters as we were in the area and it looked like a nice place for a drink. When we went in, we were greeted happily by a lovely young lady and as they weren't busy she asked where would we like to sit. We sat by the fireplace in these lovely huge chairs to have drinks. We decided to stay for dinner; the waitress asked if we would like dinner where we were or move to the restaurant, we moved into the restaurant area. We ordered some bread to start with and I was very pleasantly surprised to have warm bread come out as it was freshly baked there and then. Amazing, I hope they stick with this. I had the fish and chips and my partner had steak. The food was hot , well cooked and very tasty. The service was excellent, the waitress attentive, friendly, smiley and chatty. I would definitely recommend and go back.
Excellent lunch here chosen from their set menu. Very tasty and well presented. Pulled pork taco followed by sea bass both beautifully cooked. My wife had salmon mousse on croutons and wonderful tender rump of lamb. It was lacking a little in atmosphere inside but that did not detract from the enjoyment of our meal. We will definitely be back.
