About us

We are a friendly, community based Club that opened almost 100 years ago and we continue to evolve and improve.

There is a smart, recently refurbished Lounge Bar upstairs alongside a Games Room offering two Snooker Tables, a Pool Table, Darts, Dominoes and Card Games. There is live music every Saturday night, a Charity Quiz Night every other Thursday and Karaoke / Open Mic nights on selected Fridays.

On the Ground Floor there is a large Function Room with a stage and sprung dance floor regularly used by Bands and Groups for your entertainment. The room is available for hire for all manner of social occasions and celebrations at extremely attractive prices.

There is Bowling Green outside and Indoor Bowling in the Winter.

We are a members club, but encourage non-members to come in and enjoy themselves, and you will be made very welcome. After you have visited we hope you will decide to become a Member that will entitle you to discounted drinks prices amongst other benefits. You will however find even the non-member drinks prices to be very competative when compared to just about everywhere else!

As always we are still encouraging existing membership renewal and applications from new members. Applications or renewals can be made via the website Shop, or pick up an application form in the Club or download from the link below.

Remember that memberships can also be purchased at the bar.

We operate a two-tier pricing system at the bar with members benefitting from lower prices. Please have your membership card available when you visit to save some money.

As a thank you for their continued public service, we are pleased to announce that for all serving and ex-serving members of the armed forces, the emergency services and NHS staff, annual membership will be priced at our concessionary rate of £15.00 per person.

Come in and watch the big Champions League and Premier League games shown on BT Sport in our Lounge Bar and Games Room.

We are booking entertainment acts going forwards, and are adding more all the time. Look at our Events page for details of this, and all other events we have planned in the future, and so please regularly check for updates.
