About us

The oldest public house in Northallerton. The Fleece is a grade 2 listed building and has parts that date back to the 15th century. Keith & Jane have tried to create a traditional British Pub atmosphere and the interior of the building has been renovated to reflect this. Oak flooring has been laid in the front bars and traditional stone flooring in the areas to the rear. The pub offers a traditional pub food menu with a few modern twists. "Real" chips and traditional Sunday Roasts (choice of 3 meats) with Chef's own Yorkshire Puddings and fresh vegetables are just some of the food on offer. The pub runs darts, pool, domino and football teams and new players are always welcome. Poker nights run once a month and live bands and karaokes also feature regularly. Please look on our facebook page Fleece Inn Northallerton (Business ) and request to join.

friendly staff and great service. Nice selection of cask ales. All 3 meals we had were spot on, my gammon was exactly what I expect from a proper pub gammon, bonus points for having 2 eggs with it.

Great traditional pub. We travelled 35 minutes for the carvery on a Sunday and was not disappointed! Very well priced and the quality/portion was very good. Staff were very attentive. We will be booking to go again in the near future. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

Lunch in the Fleece...small menu... But the meals we had were well cooked, full of flavour and excellent value....why have I never had lunch here before? I certainly will be back soon.

Went for a Sunday carvery, the roast sirloin was so tender and cooked perfect nice and pink , they also had well done as well , leg of lamb wast fatty but the skin was nice and crisp. The Yorkshire puddings was light and fluffy. Very good selection of vegetables and nice thick gravy. Service was on point and the landlady had time to explain about the new menu for Fridays and Saturdays. We will call again during the week , if the standards are that high in a Sunday during the eeek will be very good. 5* for everything.

Ok, so... We took our 2 teenage bottomless pits, to try the carvery. The food was absolutely amazing, with a massive amount of meat on each plate, and as much veg as you wanted. THREE of us were beaten back by the food and were unable to finish, and I personally now have an actual food baby!!! This is going to be a regular thing, and I can't recommend highly enough
