The Five Bells is a welcoming charmingly unique Country Pub, run by Adrian and Di Govier, serving good traditional English food, locally sourced where possible.
Parts of the pub date back to the late 18th century. A Well which was uncovered by Jenny, Adrian’s late wife, is about 18 feet deep the water level is often as high as 12 feet stands in the area between the lounge and the restaurant. Oak beams are adorned with hops, which Adrian and Di fetch each year from Kent along with some lovely Kent wines. Open fires make this a really cosy pub for cold winter evenings. During the summer months you can dine in our restaurant where we have installed air conditioning for your comfort.
Dogs and well behaved children are more than welcome.
